About Energy Literacy
The El-Practice project aims to support young adults in enhancing their knowledge, skills, and abilities in sustainable energy use. A mobile platform has been developed to facilitate interactive distance learning as part of energy literacy training. The e-course is designed to promote energy literacy and foster behavioural change among young people, thereby contributing to the development of sustainable communities. The platform can be accessed here. Further information is available here.
The EL-practice project brings together 6 partners in order to cooperate in the field of energy literacy. A strong emphasis should be placed on strengthening environmental awareness also through informal education and capacity building as activities that "produce" environmentally conscious citizens. Changing energy use habits is a key step in the fight against climate change.
- young adults (29-39 years old) who are forming their households since their long-term decisions, based on the energy-literacy knowledge are the key to sustainable society.
- trainers and consultants in various institutions, working with energy consumers (e.g. Energy agencies, NGOs, ...) that are interested to be a part of gaining new knowledge and competencies on energy literacy to participate in delivering it forward
- organizations working in the field of energy production and consumption, indirectly also with young adults. Their needs are mostly in a line with the educational needs of the personnel.
- project partners who will use Project Results in their activities.
The project is financed under the Erasmus+ programme and will be implemented between 01.02.2022 and 31.03.2023.
